Brad Haizlett founded CISO Network in 2005 with a clear conviction: the most effective security leaders are those who learn from each other. At a time when the CISO role was still emerging, Brad saw the need for a private, trusted space where security executives could speak candidly — without vendor influence or competitive pressure.
Over the past two decades, Brad has built CISO Network into the most established peer community in cybersecurity, growing it to more than 6,500 members representing 90% of the Fortune 1000. His approach has always been relationship-first: curating a community where trust is the foundation and peer exchange is the currency.
Brad continues to lead CISO Network personally, overseeing membership, events, and the community's direction — ensuring it remains the most trusted and valuable network for security leaders in the world.

A Tribute to My Co-Founder
The CISO Network wouldn't exist without my father, Dan Haizlett. We started this journey together twenty years ago, building a sanctuary where cybersecurity executives could find true peer-to-peer support.
Many of you in the industry know my dad well. Today, he is fighting a quiet, incredibly difficult battle with a brain stem aneurysm that has taken away his mobility and independence. He can no longer walk or manage the group with me, but his impact on this industry remains unmatched. Every feature inside the Command Center, every vetted member, and every rule protecting our privacy is a reflection of the standards he set. I am proud to carry the torch forward and continue building this network in his honor.
