ROLE OVERVIEW

CISO Network is placing experienced security executives into fractional CISO engagements with high-growth companies preparing for SOC 2, Series B/C fundraising, or IPO readiness. Current openings span FinTech, HealthTech, and SaaS verticals. Engagements are 10–20 hours per week with 12-month minimum terms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as executive security leader for 2–4 portfolio companies simultaneously
Build and mature security programs from the ground up at Series B–D stage companies
Lead SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance programs
Represent security to boards of directors and investor due diligence processes
Hire and mentor in-house security teams as companies scale
Develop security roadmaps aligned with business growth and fundraising milestones

REQUIREMENTS

10+ years of cybersecurity experience with prior CISO or VP Security title
Proven track record as a fractional or interim CISO preferred
Experience building security programs at venture-backed technology companies
Strong expertise in SOC 2, ISO 27001, and startup security frameworks
Excellent executive communication and board presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
