ROLE OVERVIEW

AWS is seeking a Deputy CISO to partner with the AWS CISO in leading security strategy for the world's largest cloud platform. This role is responsible for security operations, threat intelligence, and customer trust programs across AWS's global infrastructure serving millions of enterprise customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the AWS CISO to set and execute security strategy for AWS infrastructure and services
Lead AWS Security Operations Center (SOC) and threat intelligence functions
Drive customer-facing security assurance programs including FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
Oversee vulnerability management and penetration testing programs across AWS services
Represent AWS security in customer executive briefings and regulatory engagements
Lead security workforce development and talent strategy for 1,500+ security professionals

REQUIREMENTS

15+ years of cybersecurity experience with 5+ years in senior leadership
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure security and hyperscale environments
Experience with FedRAMP authorization and US government security requirements
Track record of building and scaling large security organizations
Strong technical background in network security, identity, and data protection
AWS security certifications (Security Specialty) preferred
